Best Christmas Desserts

I know, I know what you’re doing to say, “it’s not even Thanksgiving and you’re thinking about Christmas dinner desserts?!”

Yes, yes, I am. Usually we host Thanksgiving Dinner so I always start planning the menu wayyyy in advance, but this year.. this year, my sister and I switched hosting the holidays so we’re hosting Christmas. Which is totally cool because we have three kids three and under that love playing with ornaments and the Christmas tree. Whatever, though, because who needs a Christmas tree anyway?

What we need, I mean reallllly need are amazing things to eat to drown out the sounds of toddlers fighting over ornaments! I haven’t finalize my menu yet, but there are some desserts that I have been eyeing to make. Here’s a list of a few of my top picks for Christmas dessert:

  1. Peppermint Bark Layer Cake
Nothing says “Christmas” like candy canes! And peppermint bark? Like whoever thought to mix chocolate and peppermints together was pure genius! Ghiradelli is my favorite store-bought peppermint bark, but this peppermint bark cake is my fave homemade!
  2. Toasted Hazelnut Meringue Cookies
Sanj is a huuuuugeee fan of Hazelnut. It’s his go-to coffee cream flavor. I just know that he’s going to hide these in the bedroom and eat them alone as he cries tears from seeing my holiday shopping receipts. Hehe! Anyway, these cookies are sure to be a hit at your Christmas dinner!
  3. Candy Cane Biscotti
Just give me alllllll the candy canes! Seriously though, Brach’s is the best. And how perfect is this? You can eat your Christmas dinner, and then putz around with the dogs, and then sit down for some coffee and candy cane biscotti. WHO NEEDS TO DO DISHES? Not you!

  4. Christmas Chocolate Covered Strawberries
This is a super easy and TOTALLY FUN dessert to make with kiddos. Those green sugar crystals WHAATTTT. Get in my mouttthhh!
  5. Pistachio, Rose, and Cardamom Snowballs
Y’all know I love anything rose-flavored, right? And pistachio? Girl, you know I’m Indian and we making this!!
  6. Rice Krispie Snowman Pops & Cookies
This is another fun one with the kiddos. Rise Krispies are a fave in this house. Oh and you can get those seasonal Hershey Kisses here. You’re welcome!
  7. Gingerbread Latte Cupcakes
Girl, you don’t even have to tell me what’s in here. It’s just so pretty, I could eat like two ten. This is by far one of the best cupcake recipes for Christmas!

Well, if you weren’t hungry when you started reading, I bet you’re hungry now! Please excuse me while I go scour the fridge!
